Poly or Poly With Rodent Barrier

Poly (short for polypropylene) fencing is great for deer - strong, lightweight, and our least expensive option.

Poly fence kits with a metal rodent barrier bottom (most popular) are  great for excluding both deer and small animals like rabbits - a great option in between all poly and all metal.

Both options are less visbile from a distance compared to all metal fence and less expensive than all metal fence.

All Metal

Fence kits with metal fencing make stronger deer fences and are best for keeping out small chewing animals.

For a vegetable garden, choose 1x1 all metal fencing or a 2x2 metal fence with a 1x1 metal chew barrier bottom. 

All metal fence kits are stronger and more durable but require closer post spacing and are more visible than poly or poly/metal fence kits.
